--------------------------Strategy(s)------------------------
ok this is strategy 1, as i call it (deck 1). It uses the cards listed in monster, spell and trap section without taking into account the side deck.
So this part of the deck makes the monsters work as a team, they depend on each other. So they got to stay alive or have a way to revive or come back, for that i keep exemplar; specially for the famous exemplar + night's end synchro combo. but anyways, the main point of this deck is to overwhelm the opponent with the effects of the spellcasters and synchro summons. Traps and magic majorly support.

While this deck doesn't run MST, i don't worry about it, it runs breaker. His a walking MST and the best part about breaker is his tag partner aka crusader of endymion. Crusader's effect (after being gemini summoned) enables him to place a counter on a card that can hold counters once per turn and grants him a +600 ATK bonus until the end phase, so he becomes a 2500 atk beater. Now i know what you all are thinking, the combo takes about 3 turns to bring together and can be easily broken. But my friend's thats where the support cards come in, first up in the list is (and the most crucial of all) magician's circle. This card can make it all happen, whether u have breaker or crusader on the field you can special summon the tag partner and go for the combo. Obviously for this to work you have to reserve your summon, see you got breaker or crusader already on the field, if u got crusader go gemini summon him then use magicians circle to bring breaker and break down some traps and spells. Other support cards that can make this combo happen are magical dimension, call of the haunted or even exemplar herself provided shes got 4 counters on her.

Now going back to the main strategy, the point is to get out a combo one at a time. If there were cards to speed up the deck you could run 2 combos at a times but that ain't happening just yet. Reason to that is because 1) there ain't no level 3 DARK attribute tunner spellcaster with 1500 ATK or less, 2) There isn't any spellcaster card aside Sorcerer of Dark Magic that can negate traps (thats y i run jinzo) If there was then the deck would speed up alot with magical dimension. The only draw engine card this deck has is morphing jar, with a little combo added in which consist of morphing jar + book of moon.

This deck doesn't have to worry about bothersome stardust dragon, magical dimension eats that guy for breakfast and even if you don't got magical dimension ready or lack a spellcaster in ur hand, good old kycoo or new born night's end can help you get rid of stardust. HEY ! they can even get rid of stardust's assault mode. Now how that works ? its simple, get stardust's butt in the grave. This deck carries alot of destructive cards that can aid in sending stardust to the grave, once his there special summon night's end or inflict dmg with kycoo to win the battle vs stardust !

Kycoo and night's end usefullness does not end there, they can mess with the grave in general therefore affecting every deck because every deck depends on the grave at some level. Be it for removing cards to special summon cards like chaos sorcerer, dark armed dragon (DaD, stupid abbreviation in my opinion), the dark creator, dark simorgh and all those powerful cards. Kycoo throws u an extra bonus by sealing off the graves from your opponent, meaning he can't remove from your graveyard or his (vayu = screwed).

Now moving onto the synchro part of the deck. The cards that make this happen fast are instant fusion, magician's circle, call of the haunted, magical exemplar but most important mystic tomato. This mutated plant is just awesome, serves as a good shield and once destroyed by battle it lets you special summon a DARK attribute monster with 1500 ATK or less which gives you fast and easy access to this deck's tuners, night's end sorcerer and dark resonator (mystic tomato + night's end sorcerer = easy effect activation for night's end).

Now sometimes these tuners will be out there on their own, while night's end doesnt stand much of a chance... dark resonator does... for a while. This tuner's effect is amazing for survival. It won't be destroyed by battle once ! It's perfect for a turn stall of a 2 attack block card, though the second attack would mean dark resonator's death. Like i said before, night's end might not stand much of a chance but its not like it matters. Just by being in the grave this little guy poses a threat to the enemy, as soon as exemplar comes out and you activate a spellcard... BOOM its showtime !

A card that really helps these 2 tuners out when out on their on is instant fusion. It instantly provides tuning material for these deck's 2 synchro stars, arcanite magician and tempest magician. All just for the cheap price of 1000 life points! Of course there are more synchros in this deck and more synchro material. Musician king and kamionwizard + dragonness the wicked knight are the tag partner's for the tuners. The deck runs on synchros whos level range from 6 to 7 and if the occasion calls for it... a level 8 synchro (stardust).

The only problem i see with the level limit for synchro is that... yeah i need stronger synchros. But the current ones listed are strong enough with their effects alone, what i see this deck lacking (overall) is beatstick power. The strongest cards being jinzo (2400 atk) chaos sorcerer (2300) and strongest yet when the effect is used... crusader of endymion (2500 atk till end phase). This is counted without the synchros. I think a 2800 beater or 3000 atk beater would be nice. But no synchro like that for me except red dragon archfiend and his too risky.

As a last statement for this strategy, the traps provide useful support and counters. Mirror wall being a perfect substitute for the spell card Shrink (hint to all shrink users) This trap can be activated during dmg step, that should be hint enough for everyone to know what it can do and how it can not be stopped. torrential tribute, good old school field mess up; it also provides aid in getting rid of stardust to enable kycoo and night's end to get rid of him. Magic drain, not much to say. The only card that protects against magics ur opponent may use. The good points of this card are it will either negate a spell your opponent uses or it will eat at ur opponents hand by making them discard another magic to allow the first one to not be negated; a 2 for 1 trade.

------------------------------strategy 2--------------------------------------

this strategy uses the Side deck cards which are the following:

x2 injection fairy lily, x2 flamevell magician, x1 summoner monk, x1 breaker, x1 secret village of the spellcasters, x2 terraforming, x1 royal decree

The following cards are taken out in place for the above cards:

jinzo, x2 mystic tomato, x2 dark resonator, morphing jar, magic drain, dimensional prison, torrential tribute, mirror wall.

Moving onto this section of the deck, once the above cards are sided in, the deck's main strategy is to lock the spells and traps of the opponent. Its all about that. Running 2 royal decrees and spellcaster villages instead of 1. This deck strategy came about from friend's suggestions. The strategy of deck 1 (side deck not included) could also make the lockdown possible but at an extremely low rate. Friends would always say get another village and add terraforming, its gonna hurt ur opponent so bad. So here it is, i decided to give it a shot.

So as you know the main point is to get secret village and royal decree out fast. Secret village having a higher rate of activation than royal decree. This time the deck does not have mystic tomato in its place to have access to the tuners. Now we have flamevell magician and injection fairy lily (the only card that will enable you to bring out arcanite magician...bad)

In this theme, arcanite magician and other level 6's synchros are hard to get a hold of all because of flamevell's pestering level of 4. But it also comes with its pros ! Decide which strategy u want the deck to run and adjust the fusion deck accordingly. For this lockdown themed deck, stardust and mist wurm will prove most useful. Mist wurm clearing pestering cards, stardust providing protection for the spellcasters, royal decree and the secret village.

While synchro-ing for a level 6 is still possible, it does not have a high rate as in deck 1, still possible though. But access to night's end is lost and only available through magician's circle. To compensate for the fact mystic tomato is gone, severing a link between u and the tuners, we have summoner monk. Thank god this monk is a spellcaster, we have easy acess to him through magician's circle and in return (by having the monk on ur side) he provides u easy acess to flamevell magician or breaker's tag partner crusader of endymion; or viceversa. Summoner monk also provides you access to the other level 4 spellcasters which play an important role in their own combos like magical exemplar or kycoo.

Remember i said deck 1 needed powerful beatsticks?? Guess whos making a come back from ages of not being seeing in decks ! injection fairy lily ! by paying 2000 life points her ATK raises up to 3400 ATK ! the advantage of this is that it happens in the dmg step, meaning you opponent can't activate traps or spells to stop the attack or destroy or even remove injection fairy lily. The down say is the price you pay, 2000 life points and lily only retains her high ATK until the end of that dmg step. The only advantage i see to this card is that it can get rid of strong monsters that can be a threat to this deck like dark simorgh, Gladiator Beast Gyzarus, gladiator beast heraklinos, stardust dragon and his assault mode counter part, red dragon archfiend and many more strong effect monsters that tend to have atk of 2600+.

The fusion deck for this deck would be as follows:
x2 arcanite magician
x2 tempest magician
x2 stardust dragon
x1 thought ruler archfiend
x1 brionac
x1 black rose dragon
x2 musician king
x2 kamion wizard
x2 mist wurm

what this deck has in lockdown speed it lacks in defence and support cards. The spellcasters are left almost wide open for atks and the only magic that can permanently help with that is burden of the mighty.
Chain disappearance would act as a replacement for black horn of heaven vs drog decks and other decks which relies on low atk monsters for their strategy.

I really want this deck to evolve and improve more and even do well in national and regional tournaments so im begging to know your opinion on the deck's structure thus far. I need feed back on the strategies for each deck and what cards would u recommend to improve or speed up the deck further. Any help is really appreciated, thank you.

ps: I pray to god to see the day where a level 3 DARK attribute, spellcaster type, tuner monster with atk of 1500 or less appears.

this deck looks good, in theory, but unfortunately many if not all of the top tier decks would chop this down to size so fast you will be wondering where all your planning went. not to mention most of the antimeta decks designed to take the top tier decks down. I really wish I had the cards to build this deck myslef to test, because most of the top tier decks are played in my locals.

oh come on don't say that, ill let you know this deck did well against blackwings winning matches at 2-1 of the duels, gladiator beasts have been beaten as well as lightsworms. the only 2 decks i havent played against are infernities and x-sabers.

i was thinking of using chain disappearance to deal with infernity necromancer

ps: the actual fusion deck for deck 1 is this one

x2 arcanite magician

x2 tempest magician

x1 black rose dragon

x1 goyo guardian

x1 brionac dragon of the ice barrier

x1 explosive magician

x1 stardust dragon

x1 ancient fairy dragon (need a better synchro for this one)

the only reason behind me running ancient fairy dragon is her avility to get rid of field spells and allowing me to get a field spell from my deck. granting me easy access to secret village but most decks dont run field spells. I was majorly aiming at zombie decks with this card

yeah u got really lucky there, and the tuner is really awesome too. he can make a synchro 7 or 8 happen (level) all up to ur call.

i sure hope i dont got to wait a long time to see a level 3 DARK spellcaster tuner with 1500 atk or less. It'd make my year !

But seriously, is there anyone out there who can provide me with some more insight and advice as to how to improve my deck? i see my thread has alot of views yet not even 1/4 of the viewers reply
