All that means is for the rarity of the card, depending on which one, the card that is "short or super short print" will be made less than other cards of the same rarity. Lets say a Super rare card had a total of 100 made. A card that is short printed would have 60 made instead. In short, no pun intended, it just makes a card harder to pull from a pack and there are less in circulation.

Hope this helps.

ok so just to clarify, say for example 97 and 98 from lob, they are ssp so that means there was only limited made and all 97/98 in the wide world are ssp??

At least the ones made for the U.S. Any where else, I don't know. It just means that they were made even less than the others of the same rarity. They are out there, it just means it may take a little more effort to find. I use TrollandToad.com to get mine. I couldn't find anyone in my area that had them.
