If my numbers are incorrect does that mean the card is fake? I've only ever bought cards in a pack.

Not exactly. I suggest using the yugioh wikia site and typing in the Set I.D. or the 8 digit number on the bottom of the card and compare picture to real card.

That only works for those cards that have the 8-digit password. some cards, like Dian Keto the Cure Master, for example, do not have this password. Using the set ID is the only sure way to look up a card, other than doing a search for the card name itself.:angel5:
